Oregon Zoo Summer Concerts 
June 14 - September 7

In 1979, the Oregon Zoo became the first in America to host a summer concert series.  This year, Oregon’s “wildest” outdoor concert series brings you world-class artists for a night of music and nature.  It wouldn’t be summer in Oregon without an evening of great music at the zoo!  Performances are from June 14 - Sept. 7 at 4001 SW. Wild Mushroom Celebration
October 1 - November 15
(Coastal Washington)

The annual celebration is a culinary and cultural event honoring the Pacific Northwest’s delectable, edible wild mushrooms. The six-week celebration features expert-led hikes through an Oregon state park, chef-inspired menus at some of the Long Beach Peninsula’s finest restaurants and lodging specials at acclaimed inns and vacation rentals.  It will be held from Oct. 1 - Nov. 15 at various locations in Long Beach.  Visit wildmushroomcelebration.com.


Haystack Holidays
November 8 - 28

Beginning in November, Cannon Beach plays host to Haystack Holidays, a series of holiday events designed to put the fun back into the holiday season. Some Haystack Holidays highlights include Mimosa Madness, Cannon Beach’s refreshing alternative to the craziness of Black Friday, a long time local tradition; wreathmaking classes; the downtown Lamp Lighting Ceremony; Pictures with Santa; and a special holiday concert. Cannon Beach offers the perfect holiday shopping season getaway with the picturesque village lit up festively and shops and galleries offering unique gift opportunities.  The festivities are from Nov. 8 - 28 at a variety of venues.  More online at cannonbeach.org


Jurassic Quest
November 15 - 17

Jurassic Quest is America’s largest and most realistic Dinosaur event. Our guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and The Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among dinosaurs of all kinds.  Jurassic Quest is the only dinosaur event that has true to life size dinosaurs.  From the very small, to the gigantic, sky-scraping dinosaurs that can only be seen at our events, Jurassic Quest has over 80 true-to-life size dinosaurs in each of its two touring shows.  It will be held from Nov. 15 - 17 at Clark County Event Center: 17402 NE. Svetlana Smolina: Solo Piano
Saturday, November 16

Experience a Saturday night concert event with classical music, visual art, café/bar with selections of local brew and after concert talk with artists in an intimate space of Tandem Hall: 808 Main St., Suite B in Downtown Vancouver, WA!  Join Russian born concert pianist from New York, Svetlana Smolina in a solo piano performance on November 16. The program will include solo piano works by Schumann, Liszt, Chopin, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Balakirev.  More information about Svetlana at www.svetlanasmolina.com.  The show will feature renowned Portland based photographer Peter Schutte and his works in a pop-up exhibition of nature photography and portraits of world-famous classical musicians. Worldly Travel Festival

Lighting of Maddax Woods
November 16 - December 29

Enjoy a magical walk down a lighted, accessible path through the Woods and to the viewing platform on the Willamette River.  You can search for creatures of the Woods; view new Maddax's Boat History; and see Dorothy Maddax's Garden.  This is a FREE event that's daily from Nov. 16 - Dec. 29 at 5785 River St. in West Linn (from Hwy. 43, down Burns St. to River St.).  More online at westlinnoregon.gov.

The Ultimate Celebration of Snow Sports

Snowvana returns bigger than ever for two days of celebration to kick off the 2019-20 ski and snowboard season. Clark County Turkey Trot

Since 2002, families in Clark County have met for an early am run before gathering around their Thanksgiving table.  As popularity and numbers grew, these families realized that their traditional morning Turkey Trot could become a meaningful way to serve the hungry in their communities, especially on a day like Thanksgiving.  So they organized the run and decided to donate 100% of the race proceeds to Clark County Food Bank, Now, T-shirt purchases and Polar Plunge registration fees generate enough funding to provide tens of thousands of meals for people in the community!  The Clark County Turkey Trot is on Thursday, Nov. 28, starting at races at Salmon Creek & Klineline Pond: 1112 NE. 117th St. in Vancouver.  Visit turkey-trot.org.  

Thanksgiving at Timberline Lodge
