Oregon Ghost Conference
March 23 - 25

The Oregon Ghost Conference is the Northwest's largest paranormal convention and attracts visitors from all across the west coast and beyond. It's a jam packed weekend filled with speakers, courses, tours, parties, and so much more.  Join along for a weekend of ghosts at the coast!  Attendees will connect with and learn from some of the top paranormal experts in our area.  It will be held from March 23 - 25 at the Seaside Civic & Convention Center: 415 First Ave. in Seaside.  Go online to www.oregonghostconference.com

From opera to knitting to beekeeping, this year’s Pittock Mansion Christmas will highlight some familiar and not-so-familiar hobbies and pastimes.  See the Mansion in a whole new light as volunteer decorators creatively transform rooms into a hobbies and pastimes holiday extravaganza.  It will be held from Nov. 19 - Dec. 31 at 3229 NW. ZooLights
November 21 - January 5

It wouldn’t be the holidays in Portland without a visit to ZooLights, the Oregon Zoo’s annual winter festival.  As you walk around the zoo, you’ll see a dazzling display of more than million and a half lights, and experience your zoo in a whole new light.  In addition to visiting elephants, penguins and other animals, you can ride the popular lighted train and enjoy dinner from a variety of food carts.  Little ones may want to ride the carousel, and Santa will be available at the events through December 23 for photos.  There will be local food carts, special warm drinks and live music as well...More

Safeway Winter Wonderland

The Grotto: Christmas Festival of Lights
November 23 - December 30

Presenting the sights, sounds and sensations of the season, The Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights is the largest Christmas choral festival in the world.  The festival features more than 190 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region’s finest school, church and civic choirs. Offering a family-oriented blend of traditional celebration and serene reflection, the festival theme reflects the special season of hope that Christmas offers to many thousands of families from around the Pacific Northwest.  Five indoor concerts are scheduled each evening in The Grotto’s 600-seat chapel, known for its cathedral quality acoustics.  Continuous family entertainment in The Grotto’s plaza area includes outdoor caroling, puppet shows and a live petting zoo.  Holiday foods and beverages are also available, as is seasonal shopping in The Grotto Gift Shop. Oregon Garden: Christmas in the Garden

Nature's Coastal Holiday

Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights

Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights is an annual tradition in Douglas County, drawing 25,000 visitors per year.  Visitors can enjoy over 500,000 lights and 90 animated displays as you drive through this winter wonderland. The world’s largest nutcracker, Herr Woody Winterguard will be there to welcome you, as well as Santa Claus himself.
