Wochenmarkt
May 23 - September 5

The market will be in the tradition of the German weekly markets that feature locally grown produce and farm based products. The goal of the market is for local farmers to sell their wares direct and close to home and to encourage the citizens of Mt. Angel to live a healthier lifestyle by eating more fresh, local, affordable produce. Activities will be provided for the kinder (children) by the Mt. Oregon Zoo Summer Concerts 
June 14 - September 7

In 1979, the Oregon Zoo became the first in America to host a summer concert series.  This year, Oregon’s “wildest” outdoor concert series brings you world-class artists for a night of music and nature.  It wouldn’t be summer in Oregon without an evening of great music at the zoo!  Performances are from June 14 - Sept. 7 at 4001 SW. BookFest 2019
June 20 - 22

This is a FREE event.  Over 20,000 used books for sale. Fiction and nonfiction selections for all ages including baby board books, easy to read, juvenile chapter books and young adult books. Books in all genres including art, history, how to, crafts etc. Mass market paperback books $.50, all other books $1.00.  It will be held from June 20 - 22 at the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Headquarters: 1007 E. Branch 15 Antique & Collectible Swap Meet
June 20 - 22

At this swap meet, you can buy, sell or swap antique gas engines, tractors, parts and components, farm equipment and implements, car parts, tools, accessories, antique toys, quilts and assorted collectibles.  It will be held from June 20 - 22 at Powerland Heritage Park: 3995 Brooklake Rd. Oregon City Heritage Days
June 21 - 22

Visit historic Oregon City, and explore the rich history of the first incorporated city west of the Rocky Mountains — which is celebrating its 175th birthday this year!  Heritage sites and museums will be open on June 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, FREE to the public.  Begin the day at The End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive & Visitor Information Center at 1726 Washington Street, where you can pick up your souvenir Heritage Pass Brochure and Sites Map.  Oregon City is located just 20 minutes south of the Portland International Airport on I-205, Exit 10.  For a listing of participating sites, go to www.rosefestival.org.

27th Annual Multicultural Festival
June 21 - 23

WE'RE BACK!  Come join us for a fun-filled weekend of live Jazz, Blues, R&B, Latin, Pop, Conscious Hip/Hop and NEO-Soul - complemented with a DJ intermission.  You can enjoy a multicultural food, market place, informational village, kid's space and parade.  In addition, Legacy's "Trauma Nurses Talk Tough" will offer a $6 discounted bicycle helmet sale and Health Pavilion offering FREE health screenings on Saturday, from 12 - 4 p.m.  New to the festival is Movie in the Park on Friday night, June 21 featuring the movie "Black Panther."  The Good in the Hood 27th Annual Multicultural Festival is presented by the University of Oregon.  It will be held from June 21 - 23 at King School Park, located at the corner of NE 6th Ave & NE Humboldt St. in Portland.  For more details about the activities, becoming a vendor, sponsoring the event, and to volunteer, call (971) 302-6380 or send an email through the website: www.goodnthehood.org.

Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts
June 21 - 23

The Festival presents the creative endeavors of recognized and emerging artists and enjoys an outstanding reputation for bringing special exhibits of quality and diversity to a weekend that is accessible to everyone. Attracting some 25,000 visitors during the three days of the event, the Festival includes several art exhibits, food booths, music, dance, and fine art and craft.  The Festival is held in the Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego and George Rogers Park. It features multiple art exhibits, music, dance and demonstrations. 2nd Annual Polinator Festival
Saturday, June 22

The 2nd Annual Pollinator Festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd at Dancing Oaks Nursery and Gardens outside Monmouth.  The Festival features educational activities for kids and adults including garden walks, materials and instruction for creating your own mason bee nest, and MORE.  Experts from area non-profit and governmental organizations will present information and answer questions about pollinators and gardening.  Food and drink vendors will also be on site from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We'll offer discounted pollinator plants, too!  For details, visit www.dancingoaks.com/PF

Miss Oregon Pageant
June 23 - 30

The Miss Oregon Pageant and Scholarship Program is an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant. They are a nonprofit organization run by volunteers whose mission is to empower Oregon’s young women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent, and intelligence.  Miss Oregon’s Outstanding Teen 2018 and Miss Oregon 2018 will be crowned on Sunday, June 30 at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center: 415 1st Ave. in Seaside.  Go online to missoregon.org.

The Full Body Elixir and Mandala Journey Retreat with Calley O'Neill

Big island yoga teacher and originator of THE FULL BODY ELIXIR, Calley O’Neill, is coming to Oregon to teach a weekend retreat at Breitenbush Hot Springs.  O’Neill is teaching the trio of healing practices she has effectively used to heal herself: The Full Body Elixir, The Five Tibetans (ancient Fountain of Youth), and Mandala drawing.  The Full Body Elixir is a moving meditation she has practiced every morning for decades.  She describes it as a slow-flow fusion of yoga, qigong, deep breathing, tapping, isometrics, and positive mind.  O’Neill has seen remarkable changes in her own body, health, energy, attitude toward life and all its challenges.  She has seen amazing changes in her students, even new students.  Calley will teach the practices in-depth, from June 27 - 30 at 53000 Breitenbush RD.
