Left of Center combines aerial arts and dance to weave a fantastical tale suspended between reverie and reality. Floating sleepers, trickster marionettes and lost travelers inhabit an alternate realm where furniture takes wing and dolls scheme in the shadows. With immersive seating in the round, a haunting sound design, and costumes evocative of Victorian-era fairytales, audiences are enveloped in a dream state free of the limitations of the waking world. By turns wicked and whimsical, Left of Center appeals to daydreamers of all ages. It will be held from Feb. 16 - March 4 at 513 NE. Schuyler St. in Portland. For details, visit www.awoldance.org.
